“The process of building your first home can be stressful. There are so many things to consider and so many builders in the market. It is very easy to become overwhelmed. We had spent many weekends going through display homes and meeting with various salespeople and builders. As we were building on an acreage block a bit out of town at Nome near Alligator Creek, we had extra things to consider and a number of builders dismissed even looking at us because of the distance and other perceived “issues”. We were also getting very disheartened given the sudden boom in building in Townsville and the rush to get slabs down to receive grants. Some builders were happy to sign us up and get a slab down but couldn’t give a time frame after that. We didn’t want to be just another number to a company, this was our forever home and was our everything.

We were actually ready to delay our build until we came across REEF COAST CONSTRUCTIONS.

We went in for our initial consult with Rob and he was very accommodating and down to earth. It was very clear to us that this meeting was different. Meeting with a builder rather than a salesperson gave us answers to questions others couldn’t answer. Rob was upfront and gave us the direction we needed. We knew we weren’t just going to be a rush job and that our home was going to be built with the care, pride and dedication we wanted.

We walked away feeling at ease finally, and this was the moment we realized we had found the builder we wanted. Being a large family who had lived in many rental properties over the years we knew exactly what we didn’t want. Rob took our ideas and put together a plan that was exactly what we wanted and within our budget.

During the build we were included in every step of the way and the use of the buildertrend app was amazing! We could see the full schedule, budget, variations, photos of each stage and could communicate easily. Cam was so down to earth and whenever we were on site it felt like catching up with a friend.

We felt as though we had become apart of the REEF COAST family. Rob, Cam, Justin and Nicole were always very approachable which made it easy to ask any questions we had along the way, even if those questions were about other parts of our build that did not relate to them, such as rainwater, septic tanks, shed position etc, Cam and Rob were only too happy to give us guidance and advice. This showed their true character and that they really were there to help us achieve the best property we could!

The quality of workmanship achieved is honestly second to none. We are absolutely in love with our house and from the moment we moved in it felt like home. From the bottom of our hearts we sincerely thank the entire REEF COAST team for helping us get into the perfect home for our family.

P.S. Don’t know too many builders that would be happy to do gymnastics with a 3 year old on the new carpet, thanks Rob! Mackenzie still talks about our builder Rob doing “nastics” with her!”
